The Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has been named among 45 distinguished Nigerians honoured at the 45th Anniversary Celebration of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS).
In a statement by LASU, the recognition highlights her consistent commitment to student welfare and her supportive leadership style, which had earned her admiration across academic and student communities.
It also said the announcement was contained in an official letter personally signed by the National President of NANS, Comrade Olushola Oladoja.
According to the letter, the award is in appreciation of the student-friendly Vice-Chancellor’s unwavering support for the apex student body in Nigeria and her contributions to advancing student interests.
The award ceremony which took place on 17th of April 2026 at Abuja, attracted prominent personalities from across the country.
