The Lagos Waste Management Authority, LAWMA, has issued a precautionary advisory to health facilities and medical waste handlers across the State, following the recent Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, outbreak reported in parts of East Africa. The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of LAWMA, Doctor Muyiwa Gbadegesin, said the move was necessary to ensure that health facilities, medical waste handlers, transporters, and treatment operators remained vigilant and fully compliant with established infection prevention and medical waste management protocols. The 37.9-kilometre Bodo-Bonny Road project in Rivers state awarded to leading engineering construction company, Julius Berger Nigeria PLC has been completed. According to the Project Manager, Engr. The Lagos State Government says it has delivered the highest number of road infrastructure projects under any administration in recent years, completing 362 roads spanning 347.17 kilometres since 2019.
