Nestlé Nigeria has unveiled a multi-stakeholder coalition bringing together government agencies, regulators, industry platforms, recyclers, development partners and the media to drive environmental action across 12 locations nationwide.
Marking its seventh consecutive year of environmental stewardship initiatives, the programme reflects a shift from standalone clean-up activities to a broader systems-led approach focused on strengthening waste recovery, advancing circular economy outcomes and promoting responsible waste management practices in communities.
The initiative is supported by key stakeholders including the Federal Ministry of Environment, NESREA, LAWMA, NPAP, FBRA, CEIP, RAN, the Swiss Consulate and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, among others.
“We believe the story offers an interesting perspective on how public and private sector collaboration can contribute to addressing plastic waste and advancing environmental sustainability in Nigeria.”
