The Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO) has restated committment to the effective implementation of the Lagos Resilience Strategy with the 2026 Mid-Year Review Workshop, aimed at strengthening resilience planning and coordination across Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
The workshop organised by the Lagos State Resilience Office (LASRO), brought together representatives of MDAs to assess progress made in implementing resilience initiatives, reviewing achievements, identifying challenges and exploring ways to enhance the delivery of the State’s resilience agenda.
Speaking at the event, the Chief Resilience Officer of LASRO, Doctor Folayinka Dania, who was represented by the Deputy Director, Education, Oluwole Michael, described resilience planning as a continuous process that requires regular evaluation, objective assessment and strategic alignment among government institutions.
He stressed the need for sustained collaboration across sectors to ensure Lagos remains better prepared to prevent, withstand, respond to and recover from shocks and stresses.
Technical officers of LASRO also made presentations on the Lagos Resilience Strategy, highlighting its role in building adaptive, responsive and sustainable institutions capable of addressing emerging risks and supporting long-term development.
Representatives of participating MDAs presented updates on resilience-related initiatives undertaken by their agencies, showcasing key achievements, sharing practical experiences and identifying areas requiring greater collaboration and intervention.
LASRO noted that delivering meaningful resilience outcomes depends on collective responsibility, consistent implementation and stronger inter-agency coordination across the Lagos State Public Service.
The workshop concluded with participants gaining fresh insights and practical knowledge to enhance institutional performance and support the effective implementation of the Lagos Resilience Strategy.
