Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has unveiled Nigeria’s first Integrated Energy Hub in Oshodi, describing the project as a major step towards cleaner energy and a sustainable energy transition.
The facility, developed by the Lagos IBILE Oil and Gas Corporation (IOGC), combines multiple energy solutions in one location, including Premium Motor Spirit (petrol), diesel, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), electric vehicle charging, and CNG conversion services.
Speaking at the unveiling, Sanwo-Olu said the hub was designed to provide reliable, accessible and affordable energy solutions for residents while boosting business activities across the state.
According to the Governor, “The project demonstrates Lagos State’s commitment to innovation and urged investors to take advantage of the state’s business-friendly environment” .
The Governor noted that since commencing operations in 2019, IOGC had expanded its presence in the downstream energy sector through strategic investments in retail fuel stations and digital innovation.
He said the initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda by creating employment opportunities and helping to reduce transportation costs.
Managing Director of IOGC, Temitayo Gbajumo, said the Integrated Energy Hub was the result of years of planning, collaboration and the Sanwo-Olu administration’s commitment to supporting Nigeria’s evolving energy landscape.
He explained that the facility integrates conventional fuels with cleaner energy alternatives to meet the changing needs of consumers.
“IOGC currently operates four stations in Agege, Ojota, Oshodi and Ikeja, adding that 15 additional stations are expected to be completed before the end of the year”, Gbajumo added.
