Ministry Warns Against Sharing Fake Traffic Information.
The Lagos State Government has dismissed as false reports circulating online about traffic changes and restrictions on Sheraton Link Bridge inward Opebi Road.
“Traffic rules in that area and its environs remain the same for now until advised otherwise by the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation,” Commissioner for Transportation Oluwaseun Osiyemi said in a statement on Monday.
Osiyemi also refuted claims that task force officials were “preying” on motorists in the area. “There is nothing like that happening,” he said.
He urged the public to ignore the message and rely only on official traffic updates from the Ministry of Transportation.
“Stay safe and do not share false information,” Osiyemi added.
